Our quilt show starts tomorrow...
There’s a special kind of energy in the air today as we transform the hall into a vibrant celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and community. Tables are being arranged, quilts carefully unpacked, and volunteers are working side by side to bring our quilt show to life. Every corner is beginning to tell a story, and by the end of today, the space will be completely transformed and ready to welcome visitors through the doors this weekend.
Hanging each quilt is a moment in itself. From delicate hand-stitched heirlooms to bold, contemporary designs, every piece reflects hours—sometimes years—of dedication. As they are lifted into place, you can’t help but pause and admire the intricate detail, the thoughtful colour choices, and the personal stories stitched into every seam.
Today also gives us the chance to take a step back and appreciate the incredible variety that will be on display. There truly is something for everyone—traditional patterns that honour the past, modern quilts pushing creative boundaries, and everything in between. It’s a reminder of just how diverse and inspiring the quilting community is.
