Sewing day for gift quilts

Waverley Patchworkers make and donate hundreds of quilts each year. Our sewing day on 29 October saw lots of new quilts started, and many more finished. It is amazing what can be made from the odd blocks, partly finished tops and left over fabric that is managed by the Gift Quilt team. Willing workers came with sewing machines, needles and thread and were fuelled by many cups of tea.

The group’s personal experiences motivated them to contribute to the play therapy program. More children’s quilts will be collected at the Quilters on High December meeting.
