Michelle Hill visits Waverley

Known for her passion for all things William Morris, Michele Hill will be speaking on different topics when she visits Waverley Patchworkers for our  Monthly Meeting on Monday 27 June.

It is always interesting to have an insight into how a quilter develops her ideas and Michele will be sharing her approach to making a new quilt and also where things happen in her space at home. She will be taking us through the process of working on a special commission for the Thorngrove Manor Hotel, from first drawings to final stitch.

Michele has been working on a Beatrix Potter book and nearly put it to one side when she saw the special exhibition celebrating the 150th anniversary of this much loved author at the Tokyo Quilt Festival early this year. Fortunately she came away even more inspired than ever to celebrate Peter Rabbit and friends. She will be sharing this story with us as well.
